Madman Anime Festival 2020 is around the corner and if you’re a fan of everything geeky, this is the place to be. With four anime and comic conventions throughout Australia, this is not something you want to miss.

With that said, you need to know all the tiny details of Madfest 2020 to prepare yourself for the hype. Here’s everything you need to know about what you should expect from the masterminds of the anime convention.

Madfest 2020: Where and When

Among the most crucial details of Madfest 2020 are the dates and venues. If you’re planning to go there with your friends, you need to get it right. Madman’s Anime Festival 2020 will have four conventions throughout the year in four key locations. These are:

As you can see, the locations are not only easy to find but close to public transportation too. We’re expecting too see a lot of anime and manga, cosplay, and even comics. We know a lot of fans are looking forward to one of the few anime conventions of the year, so Madfest is going to be lit.

Who’s Coming To The Madman Anime Festival 2020?

So, who are the guests we’ll have at Madfest 2020? So far, we have five confirmed guests for their Sydney Convention, with more potentially coming on the horizon. Madfest guests include:

  • US Voice Actor David Matranga
  • Cosplay Star Mon
  • Japanese Seiyuu (Voice Actor) Kana Ueda
  • Japanese Seiyuu (Voice Actor) Yuki Kaji
  • Japanese Animator Shingo Adachi

David Matranga is an American voice actor for Funimation and Sentai Filmworks. His body of works goes as far back as the year 2000. His work includes dubbing for 5 Centimeters Per Second, Akame Ga Kill, and Attack on Titan’s Bertholdt Hoover.

Mon, known as Monpink, is a world-renowned cosplayer, ranked 9th globally across worldwide cosplayers. Her cosplays include Re:Zero’s Emilia, Love Live’s Kurumi Tokisaki, and even crossplays.

Shingo Adachi is the former animator for XEBEC and is doing freelance work at the moment. His body of work includes Sword Art Online, To Love-Ru, Working!!!, and Love Hina.

The biggest names in Madfest’s current guests, however, are Kana Ueda and Yuki Kaji. If you’re an anime fan, these names should ring a bell.

Kana Ueda is the seiyuu for Fate/Grand Oder Babylonia’s Ishtar, Re:Zero’s Anastasia, and the original seiyuu of Fate Stay Night’s Rin Tohsaka.

Yuki Kaji is the seiyuu for Attack on Titan’s Eren Yeager, Fairy Tail’s Lyon Vastia, and Issei Hyoudou from Highschool DxD.

For Aussie geeks out there, Supanova 2020 is one of the biggest events of the year. Every major city will have one Supanova with them, so you’re looking at a big comic con for you.

If you’re unsure what’s about to go down in your local Supanova, this is where you need to look. We have all the deets for the upcoming Supanovas this year. Let’s hope someone you like is coming to one of these events.

Find A Supanova Comic Con Near You

Almost every major Aussie city will have its own Supanova, so you don’t have to get across the country to experience this wonderful event. Six cities have a date with the most wonderful geek icons of Australia. These are:

As you can see, Supanova Comic-Con has you covered. You’re not only getting some of the best games and awesome cosplays out there. You’re getting some of the best geek icons in the biz.

Since it’s still early in the year, some later Supanovas don’t have too many details yet. What we’re sure is you’re going to see many great names with their own panels. They’ll be there to see their dedicated Aussie fans. Let’s see who we have so far.

Who’s Coming For Supanova 2020?

For the fans of Supanova, they have some of the biggest geek names as guests for you. For comic fans everywhere, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles team is coming.

Original TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman will be in Melbourne and Gold Coast. He’ll be there together with DC writer and artist Freddie Williams II, Jon Sommariva, and Jamie Johnson. There’s also James O’Barr, the legendary creator of The Crow.

For the anime geeks out there, Supanova 2020 also has some of your favorite voices coming by. They’re not some random voice actors either. They’re some of the most legendary in the biz.

We’re starting with Overwatch Genji VA Gaku Space. You’ll also get the entire Neon Genesis Evangelion English Dub team – Spike Spencer, Tiffany Grant, and Amanda Winn Lee. Capping off the legendary roster, My Hero Academia’s Leah Clark, and even Fairy Tail’s R Bruce Elliot will be there for Aussie geeks out there.

Film geeks will have Lord of the Rings star Miranda Otto, acting legend George Lazenby, and Power Rangers villain Katrina Browne. There’s also Youtube stars Smosh for those who love watching Let’s Plays.
